On Sunday, we were all thrilled to go to the O’Brien’s new home in Onset, Massachusetts! It was under an hour’s drive from Scituate. After working a bit helping unpack the house, Dave grilled burgers, dogs and delicious chicken teriyaki strips. A little more unpacking and breaking down boxes followed.
There was still plenty of time for lounging around while watching the Pats lose the opener. 😞
The best part of the day was celebrating Abigail turning 25! We all know it, but time sure does slip through your fingers fast. I remember when she weighed nothing more than a triple peanut, and that doesn’t feel like long ago at all. We had strawberry shortcake to celebrate Abigail a few days late! Happy Belated Birthday!!! 🎉🎂
I almost forgot to mention the INCREDIBLE popcorn we had. The O’Briens own a popcorn machine!! It was absolutely awesome!
Stacey stayed in Onset to visit with the O’Bs and I returned to Scituate. On Monday, I got to join Bapa and more of his golf buddy’s for a full day surrounding a round at Achushnet River Valley golf club. It started with breakfast at Persy’s. The homemade corned beef hash was highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. Eight of us then met up at the trailer home clubhouse that masked a hidden gem of a golf course. Add it to your list if you are on the South Shore!
I took a lot of pictures of the harbor, mostly at sunset for the next couple days, and thought I would just share a few of them here.

Stacey and I were sad to miss seeing Emily on her birthday today. But we were thinking of her during our lovely early walk on Sand Hills beach.
