First, Happy 30th Anniversary Stace! I love you very much, and I’m so happy to be here together in Ireland to celebrate! 😍
We definitely shifted gears today, driving from Athlone to Dublin with a fresh batch of clean laundry! On a two week trip, having a washer and dryer at the mid-point is KEY! The drive was easy and enjoyable, as we found some of the best highways we have driven on the Emerald Isle to date. Just west of Dublin, we stopped at Castletown House. This huge and incredibly posh mansion was built for the Speaker of The Irish House of Commons in 1722. It was truly extravagant. We were happy to again be in a very small tour group with Kate. She was matter of fact, but completely knowledgeable and pleasant.
After walking the gardens outside, we made our way into Dublin! You know you’re back in the city when you look at the GPS and find that you have 3 miles to go, and it will take 26 minutes! After parking the car at The Morgan Hotel in the heart of town, we walked to lunch at Merchant’s Arch Restaurant & Pub. It was excellent! Great service, great food, and a solo guitarist with an awesome voice! He was really good. 🎼
Our Anniversary treat was a show and dinner! We saw Riverdance at The Gaiety Theatre, and it was spectacular. I can’t believe the talent in both the dancers and the musicians. We were in the first row of the balcony in a place that only holds 1,100 people. I highly recommend both the venue and the show! It really was a lot of fun. We went to Trocadero for dinner, and we were not disappointed. DELICIOUS!
We are not in farm country anymore, that’s for sure. The pace has quickened, and it was a perfect day celebrating 30 years of love with Stacey. Looking forward to another week on this beautiful island and, hopefully, a few more decades together on this big round ball! ❤️

Happy Anniversary! Looks like it was an awesome day! ❤️
