This is my second post for the day. I have had some trouble loading pics because of the Wi-Fi, but will fix when I can. Just imagine BEAUTIFUL green country!
After walking the cliffs, we headed south towards Dingle, where we will be staying for three days. Our first stop was at Spanish Point Beach where we had lunch at the Coast Lodge at picnic tables with a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean meeting Ireland’s shores. We then made our way to Killimer to catch a car ferry across the River Shannon to Tarbert. There was a break in the rain for long enough to get out and stand on deck breathing in the fresh air for the 20 minute crossing. Stacey indulged me and allowed a stop at Ballybunion Golf course next for a quick stroll. We were both rewarded after crossing the fairway to the beautiful seaside beach where Stacey found a few small pieces of driftwood as souvenirs! I need to get back and play this course someday. Anyone interested in joining me?! We arrived in Dingle around 8 PM. We are staying at a cottage overlooking Dingle Bay that Melissa and Ryan recommended from their visit a few years back. Our host Maureen is fantastic, and her dog Teddy and horse Grace are just as welcoming! We look forward to Dingle – kayaking the harbor tomorrow!
