As a lover of oceans, it is always exhilarating for me to come up over a hill to find the glittering sea on the horizon. Today, Stacey and I finished our drive across America as we found the Pacific Ocean at our feet. Thankfully, we have not finished our adventure, as we will be staying here for the week with Melissa & Ryan. We left lovely Paso Robles this morning on the final leg of our journey to Santa Cruz. I was a passenger, yielding the helm and the keys to the big blue Tundra to Ryan permanently. It was really quite nice to stare out the side window wonderingly at the hills of California rolling by. The drive was quick but scenic, and we arrived in time to walk ten minutes from home to lunch in downtown Santa Cruz. Masters (I mean Easter) Sunday gave us a welcome excuse to sit on the couch lazily all afternoon in front of the TV, with the added bonus of watching the Bruins become the winningest team in NHL history after Rahm donned the Green Jacket. And… our beloved BOSOX ⚾️ won earlier! Easter dinner was phenomenal, enjoyed at Jack O’Neill’s on the waterfront. We sat at the same table where we watched Jim “Bapa” Ferrier have his first ever avocado in February (see photo in gallery) It was truly delicious! After dinner, we drove slowly up West Cliff Drive at sunset and parked overlooking Natural Bridge State Park. Just WOW! It really is quite beautiful here. Thank you SO much for welcoming us into your home Ryan and Melissa! 🏠😍 As I said, the adventure continues. Stay tuned for more thoughts and pics from the West Coast throughout the week!!
