When we planned to be in Scituate for the whole month of September, picking a day to go to Fenway became a priority for me. The honest truth is that I assumed they might be out of the playoff picture, so picking a date was really centered on when Ryan might be able to join us. His visit coincided with the last series of 2025 at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark – Fenway! To be able to go there with Ryan and Bapa is a rare but truly special gift. We picked Saturday as our game, and were rewarded with a glorious day of sunshine and clear skies. It was particularly fun because the Sox had clinched a playoff berth with a walk off win on Friday night! So, the boys headed into Fenway together!

Our first stop was Castle Island for some nourishment, and we were again treated to a beautiful day. Blue skies and temperatures in the low 70s make for great fun in Boston. The Sox lost 2-1, but they were unable to dampen our spirits as we enjoyed a guys day together.

Sunday was a great family day, with Sara joining us for the afternoon. First we met at the Hi Tops for another lovely way to start the day with coffee by the harbor.

We had planned an afternoon munching a charcuterie board, chili and gumbo while watching the Ryder Cup final day from Bethpage Black. The Europeans turned that into a rout, but we still had a great day together in the Gathering Room. Everything was delicious, but what I may have enjoyed the most was Mimi’s apple crisp. DELICIOUS!

We missed Dave, who was working a shift at the fire station. He was definitely not forgotten though, as we brought him some goodies to enjoy and get him through another day keeping us safe. Thanks Dave!
