Stacey started us off today as we headed dead West. She was the master of her domain, marching steadily across Texas. We were so happy to see so many beautiful Bluebonnets in bloom! As we approached Midland, I was very pleased to spend some time thinking of Dad. His childhood friend was Tim Murphy from Queens. Father Tim finished a wonderful career in the priesthood when he passed away in Midland years ago. We stopped nearby and remembered Dad at the Vietnam Memorial there. It was truly a thought provoking and tearful stop for me. It is always good to remember those that lived before us, and helped shape us as people. After miles driving through a pretty dessert, we arrived in El Paso. Stacey and I walked to the Mexican border before a delicious dinner. Watching UCONN hoops now. Go Huskies! 🏀🏀🏀

Seeing the bluebonnets and having more amazing Mexican food were the highlights of day 3 for me!
