We all have our bucket list of things we dream of experiencing some day. I feel so fortunate to have checked one off my personal list with my best friend Tim Riegle. Tim grew up outside of Dallas and is a life-long, die-hard Texas Rangers fan. We booked flights to Dallas before the ALCS and crossed our fingers. After the Rangers clinched the Pennant in Houston, we headed south for the World Series! Although we didn’t have tickets, we had hope and HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL!!!

Tim’s brother-in-law Jason lives in Forth Worth, and graciously hosted us for the weekend. On Friday, 10/27, first pitch of Game One was scheduled for 7:03 PM. We started our day with a trip to the Rangers Team Store at Globe Life Field to get some gear. Our phones would be our primary means of securing tickets as we constantly monitored availability and price. As Tim checked out with his World Series gear, I pulled the trigger and bought two tickets to Game One! A bucket list dream was coming true. Yes, it was expensive. And HELL YES – it was well worth it.

Our next stop was in Lewisville where Tim grew up to visit his Mom Casey and his Sister Sandy. Since Josh Jung went to Tim’s Alma Mater Texas Tech, he got Jung jerseys with the World Series patch for the whole family. Of course, they came with a catch, as everyone had to promise to wear them for every game. All wholeheartedly agreed. We got a few great photos for posterity. A stop at Whataburger for a pre-game treat was a must before heading to the stadium!

We all know what happened in Game One. Corey Seager tied the game with a two-run home-run in the bottom of the ninth to set up the walk-off home-run for the WIN by Adolis Garcia in the 11th! Words can’t adequately describe how AWESOME that was. The electricity in that stadium was magical. I’ll never forget the pure joy on Tim’s face as that ball screamed over the right field wall. YES YES YES!!! ⚾️🇺🇸⚾️🇺🇸

Our process was repeated on Saturday, and we attended Game Two as well. Obviously, we didn’t enjoy the result of that one, but it made watching the Rangers win their first World Series Championship in Arizona that much sweeter. Thanks for an incredible experience Tim. I couldn’t ask for a better friend – you are the very best!
